Of course I'm a real mermaid!
Anyone with a belief in magic, and a love for the water and the creatures who inhabit it, is a real mermaid in my book.

Depending on the type of event you're wanting to book for can determine the exact cost of it. Send me an email for a more exact quote. Pricing includes my rate for the size of your event, travel distance, my rate for my mertender assistant, supplies for your event including any service add ons, parking if needed. As well as care and maintenance of my equipment and for my time communicating with clients to make sure your event is the most magical it can be! Because of all of this, Alexandra the Mermaid wants to provide a quality service for our clients, so our pricing reflects that. My rate starts at $100/hr for smaller events and $200/hr for larger events, not including my travel fee or service add ons.

The tails I perform in are fabric tails from companies that produce high quality designs and are safe to swim in for experienced swimmers.
For parents interested in purchasing a tail for their child, first the child should be a competent swimmer and able to swim a lap of a pool with no assistance. Then I would recommend Fin Fun Mermaid for children's and beginner's tails. Tails should not be treated like toys, they are sports equipment and therefore users should be aware how to swim in them properly for their safety. The Fin Fun Mermaid website has plenty of videos and information about tail safety. I recommend Fin Fun as it was the company I first swam in a tail from and I believe them to be a quality product yet affordable.
I however do not perform in Fin Fun tails to protect the magic for attendees. Tails I perform in have a heavier weight fabric and more detailed prints and want my clients to feel they are receiving a quality performance from someone with a quality and detailed appearance.

Yes! For all events I offer for clients to pay either all up front, or at least 50% as a deposit to secure their date. The rest is due at the time of my arrival at your event before I set up.
The exception to payment plans are for any last minute bookings that are less than 2 weeks away.
-
For payment I accept the 50% deposit to secure your date via PayPal Invoice. The invoice is sent to the email I am communicating with and attached is a QR code that anyone can scan to submit payment on your behalf if payment is being shared among multiple people. PayPal Invoice accepts credit and debit cards.
For the rest of the payment, I require any money owed to be completed upon my arrival at your event before my mertender assistant and I set up. This can be completed via the PayPal Invoice or via cash.
-
I accept bookings up to a year in advance as my schedule can fill up quickly during busier seasons of the year. However many clients book about 2 months in advance.
Send us an email if you're interested to receive a quote for your event. To secure your event date a 50% deposit is required.
-
Last minute bookings are any event in which it's date is less than 2 weeks away and are subject to my availability. For last minute inquiries I require full payment completed to secure your event date.

A mertender is what professional mermaids like to call their assistants. They help us at events with setup, transport, and communication with clients, among other things that help the mermaid's performance go swimmingly.
